Boulder's Dance Home
Awakening the groove, one move at a time…
Dance Home is a free-form dance event happening every Thursday evening from 7:30 to 9:30, September through May in Boulder, Colorado. Our first dance of the Fall 2011 season begins September 22.
Our core dancers "hold space" to provide a safe, comfortable environment so we can all feel free to drop down out of our heads and dance our ya-ya's out. We support all kinds of dance, whether alone or with others. And our event is contact improv friendly.
For music, our DJs draw from a variety of styles, mostly from the broad category of "World Beat", with an emphasis on uplifting music (never saccharine, we hope!) that helps us to re-engage with our bodies and to dance authentically. We believe that good music transcends fashion and generations, and that it can satisfy everyone from young whippersnappers to old fogeys.
Dance Home is a non-profit, community-supported event that has thrived in Boulder as a project of the Solstice Center for almost twenty years.

Dance Home is hosted by The Solstice Institute, a sustainable culture community experiment, and housed by the Solstice Center. The Solstice Institute is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization.
